fletch5727 Posted October 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2014 We had decided to spend the day at tiki bar/Accra beach, but will be there on Christmas Day. I emailed them, and they are not open Christmas Day. I'm looking for a beach that's quieter than boat yard, but has some sort of restaurants/snack bar on site as well as chair or umbrella rentals. I have emailed lobster alive to see if they're open Christmas Day, but their menu looks a little bit more upscale than what I'm looking for. Does anyone know if lobster alive has a more casual beach menu? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
macaroni Posted October 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I would still go to Accra..it's the perfect beach...I am sure their refreshment stands will be open or across the street is Just Grillin or Chefette, both really good or you can take a walk along the boardwalk which is there and there are several food places....Tapas, Naru.... cruisingbajan Posted October 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2014 Very few places if anywhere is open in Barbados on Christmas Day. That is a day that most people reserve for family. I would not expect any of the restaurants another poster mentioned to be open.

To be perfectly honest with youunless you definitely have something you want to do Ashore your best bet might be to simply stay on the ship and chill out. I was going to say Stay on the ship apart from maybe a quick nose-around the shops in the Cruise Terminal but I suspect many if not all of them will be shut too! People on the island do have a life other than the Ka-Chiiing factor and Christmas Day and Easter Sunday are pretty much OBSERVED here on the island. :) The other 363 days of the year? Not so much. ;) .

Might have changed by now And yes I know this is the Barbados board Sent from my iPhone using Forums Edited October 13, 2014 by luvtheships
OCruisers Posted October 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 13, 2014 Christmas Day is a good time to book an excursion through the ship because you know if it is offered it will go. ;) LuLu
