Nassau - Conch Salad?

Greetings

 

Will be in Nassau in a couple of weeks and wondering if anyone has found a good place for conch salad.

Google the Fish Fry at Arawak Cay.

Many small colorful restaurants side-by-side and nearly all of them offer conch salad. It's a mile and half west of town. Or you can take the #10 bus for $1.25 each way.

 

If your plan is to spend the day at Junkanoo Beach (walkable from the ship), The Tiki Bikini Bar on the beach serves conch salad. Also availabe at Fat Tuesdays next door.

 

If you plan on visiting John Watlings Distillery (also walkable from the ship), they are now serving food including conch salad.

 

Casablanca (in town) right before to Senior Frogs also has conch salad.

 

Or you can do what we plan to do in a couple of weeks......hit them all!!

Hope to go home with enough knowledge to write a book "Conch Salad in Nassau". lol

I also read a post just yesterday that said that Senior Frog's serves it at a booth outside the restaurant. One more to add to my list.

I have read about a place called Dino's conch salad that is supposed to have best on the island. Is a sweeter, tropical variation from the original. Hoping to try it when I go in November.

We bought some salad right from a local fisherman along the docks right from his boat. Can't get any fresher then that.:)
