6.2 earthquake Cabo

The earthquake was centered in the Gulf of California, I don't think Cabo felt it very much.

USGS says it was centered 121km WSW of El Dorado,Mexico.(19:40 on 10-7-2014)

We felt it in Tucson.

It must have been in the northern part of the Sea of Cortez if you felt it in Tuscon.

Also depends on what the geology of the land is like.

 

I haven't felt things that people have felt a few miles away because my house is built on rocky soil.

My husband also felt it at our house in San Carlos, Mexico.

None of my friends in Cabo are reporting feeling anything.

 

Cabo is back and strong. First international flights arrived today. Cruise ships are arriving on schedule. Paradise restored.:)

I heard that the popular restaurant/bar Tobasco's on Medano Beach was destroyed by the hurricane and they are rebuilding.

 

Have you heard anything on their progress?

I was looking forward to going there on my upcoming cruise in early January.

Tabasco Beach was indeed destroyed, but the rebuilding process has begun. They initially were aiming at mid-December, but recent post say they are looking at mid-November.

 

You'll be good to go by January. Maybe they will enhance their bathrooms.:p

LOL....absolutely, the bathrooms at Tabascos was the second worst. The old bathrooms at Solomon's Landing were worse than many that I saw in Korea.

Solomon's are now great. Let's hope that Tabascos will be the same!
