Magicbar Posted October 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2014 First time cruiser here and travelling solo. Please provide some info on the debarkation process in port. Both tender (Belize) and docked(Cozumel, Roatan, Costa Maya). What is the process for getting a debarkation number? Do they do the same procedure for both tender and dock ports? How early should I arrive to get off more quickly (non FTTF, Plat, Diamond etc.)? Do Carnival excursions receive priority over non? Belize specifically being a tender port, how beneficial is it to arrive early and when do they begin handing out numbers? Thanks in advance for any assistance, it is greatly appreciated! SadieN Posted October 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Docked ports you just walk right off. For tender ports information will be in the FunTimes delivered the night before. Typically you'd meet in a lounge and get a number when your whole party is together. When the line goes down there is no need for numbers. If you have a Carnival excursion at a tender port, your ticket will tell you where to meet-- either somewhere onboard or on the dock. Diamond/Platinum/FTTF pax can go to Guest Services and be escorted to the tender. They wait in line on the way back.
Ehpride Posted October 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2014 In docked ports, you should just be able to line up and leave the ship. No tender tickets or priority by anyone. You'll still want a time buffer for any independent excursions though. In tender ports, you'll likely meet a designated location to get a tender ticket and wait for your number or excursion to be called. Yes, Carnival excursions do receive priority. If you book an independent excursion, make sure you have plenty of time to get off the ship. The time will depend on what time the ship gets to port. If you need to get off early, plan on getting your ticket early, especially since Belize is a long tender. Also, make sure you take a watch and follow the ship's instructions about what time to follow. Do not go by local time because if it's different than ship time, you could miss the ship. You also need to be back on board earlier in a tender port. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
cblzaccie Posted October 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Magic at your going on the same cruise as my group, just remember to find out where the demarcation point I ahead of time ( it's different for tenders vs walk offs) and get ther early if you need to meet an outside excursion. If in blunt ask at guest services. They are always totally helpfull
QTPieRye Posted October 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Belize is somewhat of a long tender ride.... I want to say it's about 20 minutes or so :)
cb at sea Posted October 9, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Unless you need to be 1st off, there's no reason to rush and "line up" at docked ports! Just walk off when you're ready! It's just like leaving a hotel!
