Boarding Questions

On my Boarding Pass it says to arrive Athens Pireus at 1 PM. I was wondering if I arrived earlier will I be stuck in lines as I'm a Platinum on Cunard?

Also for customs the first segment goes from Athens-Rome with a stop in Tunis on the second segment we are all in the EU. Do we clear customs in Rome and get our passport stamped again when coming into Civitacvecchia the first time?

I know that we keep our suitcases and other belongings in our stateroom during the first stop in Rome.

Also on embarkation day will the LIdo Buffet be open for Britania Passengers?

Thanks

Presume you are making your own way there. Get there around mid day to avoid the rush when the flights start to arrive.

We are from UK and did not need our passport in any port including Istanbul. So no stamps at all all cruise.

Not sure if things are different for USA.

Remember that there are still passengers aboard who may only be half way through their cruise, so all the dining facilities will be open.

David.

Thanks so much David. Yes, we are making our own way and will be 12 kilometers from Pireus near the Parthenon. Our hotel lets us check out at noon so the plan is get up, have a leisurely breakfast and perhaps if there is a time a walk and then get a pre-arranged car that the hotel will help us arrange.

We plan to get there around 12:30ish.

One nice benefit to being in the city the day of the cruise is you don't have to rush. The ship leaves at 10 PM so we can get acquainted, eat lunch, muster drill and then dinner etc. I think I'll take a nap so we can see the sailaway.

We have the next day at sea so that is great.
