billyjean000 Posted October 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2014 I just bought Heys widebody suitcase that is 30"x 22 1/2" X 9 1/2" . It meets AAs checked baggage policy but now I'm wondering if I'll have a problem bringing it on the Glory. I've always brought two suitcases that were a size smaller when using Amtrak to NYC but this time I have to travel by plane to Miami from Toronto so to avoid larger baggage fees I thought one big suitcase would work but now I'm not sure. Anyone else used the larger suitcase size?
Cruise-Crazy Posted October 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2014 For carry-on it needs to fit through the scanner. Not sure of the exact size for checked but that sounds like it should not be an issue.
092306 Posted October 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2014 If it meets airline standards for checked luggage, it should be fine for the Glory. I've seen some very large suitcases checked and yours doesn't seem out of the norm.
cb at sea Posted October 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2014 On the ship, there is no real limit, unless you are hand carrying your bags. You could check a steamer trunk, if you want.
SadieN Posted October 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) It might meet the size requirement but it will probably go over AA's 50# weight limit. Might even go over the 70# limit for some routes and seat classes. Another problem is that the height of the under bed storage is around 14". Ehpride Posted October 12, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2014 It'll be fine. If it doesn't fit under the bed easily, try lifting it up. I always check a 28" suitcase without a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
