Bringing on snacks or cheeses

We like to have a cheese plate with our wine on the balcony. The cheeses on the buffet aren't that great. We like specialty cheeses like Manchego and Iberico. Can we bring these on?

I've taken cheese and other snacks many times with no problem. You just cannot take food products off the ship in ports. I would also confirm whether or not you have a mini-fridge in your room to keep it chilled. Also, I have asked for a cheese plate to go(dessert menu) in the main dining room, which was always provided, to save for later. Those are usually a bit more interesting options than cheese on the buffet.

My husband just orders the cheese plate from the dessert menu in the MDR and takes it back to our cabin to eat later. Just bring along baggies!

Every once in awhile we get the cheese plate as an extra appetizer for dinner and wondering why we stopped doing this recently.
