NICOLEGORDON55 Posted October 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Hi, We are taking a Cruise on The Norwegian Gem later this month. Any information on Hotels that offer Day Passes would be greatly appreciated. The Ports are Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Martin & St Kitts. Thanks so much, Nicole :)
cb at sea Posted October 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) You do know that you don't have to pay a hotel to have a wonderful beach day...the beaches are public, with facilities! But, you will get more info if you post this on the Thread for each port....it's in the main menu under "Ports of Call". I heard very nice things about the hotels with day passes- so I though I would get some more info on them. We are going to be in port until 7pm for 2 of the ports & it's nice to have use of pool & restaurant. Thank you so much for the feedback:) Thanks so much:) Nicole
I_heart_vaca Posted October 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Check out ResortForADay(dot)com and CaribbeanDayPass(dot)com -- we have had success with both these companies. Usually about $60 and includes lunch and a beverage. You get to use pool, facilities and sometimes they have private beaches. We find its worth the extra money to have less people and better facilities. Good luck!

I will definitely check it out!! I just got a notice from my Travel Agent about some Port changes on our Cruise. Looks like we are staying in Puerto Rico for 2 full Days since they are doing Ship Maintenance while we're in Port. So this sounds perfect!!! Thank you so much!!!! Life is Good Cruising Posted October 15, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Also agreed with Orient Beach for St. Martin. You can take a taxi from the pier to Orient Beach and there are plenty of beach bars, loungers and umbrellas to rent. Keep in mind, this is on the French side and you may see some nudity on the beach. St Maarten may still have the Westin offering a day pass. http://www.resortforaday.com/product-p/smstwe.htm For St Kitts, Marriott has a day pass for $35. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g674073-d265581-r216421936-St_Kitts_Marriott_Resort_The_Royal_Beach_Casino-Frigate_Bay_St_Kitts_St_Kitts_and.html Can't answer for PR. LA_CA_GAL Posted October 16, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Awesome!! Thank You So Much!!! Nicole :) One more bit of advice. Do your research on what "bar/restaurant" you want to hang out at. Many have online menus and pictures. We did Orange Fever one year and Kakao last time. Both were good. Kakao was exceptionally good. It is good to be able to tell the cab the exact beach or club you wish to go to so you can get dropped off at the right location.

Life is Good Cruising Posted October 17, 2014 #12 Share Posted October 17, 2014 Read on the St. Maarten forum that there was damage to some of the beach bars on Orient Beach which they saw pictures of on Facebook.
