direfun2000 Posted August 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2005 We may gift ourselves wine &/or beer for our 10/29 sailing on the CB. I understand that there will be a card (indicating what we have in gifts) in our rooms that we can use to order the wine, etc. from room service. Can we use the card in restaurants &/or by the pool? Thought we might enjoy a drink or two with lunch on sea days. Thank you for your help.

cherylandtk Posted August 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2005 The gift bottle/cans will be delivered to your stateroom by your steward. I have not tried to redeem the card at a bar, but I think it has to be done as a package, not one glass or can at a time. FYI, it is usually a little less costly (couple of dolllars) to just purchase the alcohol onboard at the package bar than send a gift to yourself. calikak Posted August 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2005 We gifted ourselves a bottle of pink champagne for sail-away (I absolutely love the movie "An Affair to Remember", hence the pink champagne :D) and it was delivered to our room right before muster drill, so it had time to chill a little before sail-away. We didn't get a voucher or anything like that, the bottle was just delivered to our room. I did also send chocolate-covered strawberries to some friends, and they got a card with a note I'd faxed to Princess, but it wasn't a voucher, the card came with the strawberries.
