Bases5 Posted October 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Do the have lockers to store wallets and such. I was wondering how you kept you stuff dry and safe while tubing. Most of the private excursion says they prefer cash and you pay at the end. How did you all handle this. Many thanks in advance.
Podie Posted October 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2014 When I tubed in Belize last year, they had us keep our stuff on the bus. We were in a very remote area and the bus driver stayed with the bus so no one had a problem.
Bonnie J. Posted October 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2014 We have cave tubed with Reggie twice and just leave our stuff in his locked van in the parking lot where all the other tour leader's vans are parked. There isn't a need for lockers. I only take my underwater camera with me. Why take your wallet? Just a credit card and small amount of cash plus ship's sign 'n sail and driver's license. You don't need anything else when you get off the ship. Never even heard of any type of problem. There are no houses or business anywhere near here. We also paid at the end in cash. Rare mitsugirly Posted October 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2014 No matter which company you go with, you keep your items locked up in the bus/van that you came there in. If you are worried about leaving money in the van, get a dry pack to put around your waste or neck. Although I have never heard anyone, ever, on these boards say that their van was broken in to or something taken. I do believe they have security there in the lot as well. :)
