Stone Crab near Largo

Hi,

I am looking for some recommendations on where to find stone crab. I have been to Joe's down in Miami and this is the best crab I have ever eaten. I am flying into Tampa and I am hoping to be able to be able to find them around this area.

Any upscale restaurant will have stone crab. They pretty much are going to taste the same anywhere you eat them because they are harvested, cooked, then frozen.

go to a Publix grocery ... buy 'em and some beer ... take to a bench on the beach ...

 

as BH says they are ALL cooked at the pier so there's no difference except size and what the markup is . .
