SSFrance69 Posted October 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Can anyone tell me what type of cabin the "W" category under deluxe listings is on the Tuesday Specials? I have not found a W category cabin or suite when looking at the deck plans. Thank you!
Sloop-JohnB Posted October 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2014 W = Suite Guarantee Cheers!
SSFrance69 Posted October 20, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Thanks for answering! What's the lowest category of suite you could end up with in a Guarantee? Has there ever been anyone lucky enough to get something above a Sky Suite with a guarantee?
Rare cruisestitch Posted October 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2014 You could end up with any suite, so you need to be willing to take any suite when you book a guarantee.

Sloop-JohnB Posted October 20, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) You could end up with anything... Just depends what sells vs is available hen they do the Gurantee Assignments There are certainly posts where CC Members have received Suites at all levels on a Guarantee Here is a past post on the same topic by another Poster, and some stories of great outcomes from others http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2087700 Overall it is a crap shoot tho... Best advice to buying a Guarantee is to make sure you would be ok if you got the lowest category (or worst cabin in any Suite Category) Suites: http://www.celebritycruises.com/htmlpage/celebrity-suite-class#&panel1-1&panel2-1&panel3-1&panel4-1&panel5-1&panel6-1&panel7-1 Smallest to Largest (Square Footage range is based on both M & S Class Ships, so not all cabins in the same category are necessarily the same size. See individual Deck Plans / Stateroom info on the Celebrity Website for more info) Sky Suites (S2 & S1) = 251 to 300 Sq Feet + Balcony Celebrity Suites = 394 to 467 Sq Feet + Balcony where available * Signature Suites = 441 Sq Feet + Balcony Royal Suites = 538 to 590 Square Feet + Balcony Penthouse Suites = 1291 to 1432 Sq Feet + Balcony * Reflection Suite = 1636 Sq Feet + Balcony * These Suites currently are only available on The Reflection. In addition, on the Reflection there are currently Aquaclass Suites... Although they will be converted to Sky Suites by the time the NEW Suite Class perks roll around in April 2015 Celebrity Suite Class "Roll Out" Announcement = http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Flyers/14037410_CEL_Suites_FAQs.pdf Hope this helps, Cheers! Lsimon Posted October 20, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) Thanks for answering! What's the lowest category of suite you could end up with in a Guarantee? Has there ever been anyone lucky enough to get something above a Sky Suite with a guarantee? The lowest is an S2 cabin. There are occasional reports of someone getting upgraded to a large suite. There are also occasional reports of people winning a 200 million dollar lottery. I would not count on either, although your chances of getting upgraded to a large suite is better than your chances of winning the lottery jackpot. While you can always be hopeful of getting an upgrade assignment on a guarantee you have to be ready to accept the least desirable cabin in the guaranteed category as well. oceanplus Posted October 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2014 You could end up with any suite, so you need to be willing to take any suite when you book a guarantee. Booking a suite guarantee could get you in a S2 on S-class ships right under the Ocean buffet floor. If so be ready NOT to sleep from around 3am as carts are rolling above you in order to prepare the area for breakfast... Are you really ready to receive such a stateroom assignment? If not, chose yourself the suite you want or book a regular veranda stateroom.

If not, chose yourself the suite you want or book a regular veranda stateroom. Or take the roll of the dice... And hope that when you get such a poor cabin, that there are others in the same Category (another S2) still remaining open, and call Celebrity to ask for a straight swap The lowest is an S2 cabin. The "losing lottery ticket scenario"... You own a piece of paper that had sooo much potential when you bought it Lol, LSIMON loved your analogy OP on the bright side your Suite Butler (no matter what Suite you end up in) can pour you a drink so you can forget your loss / what might have been Worthless Lottery Tickets provide a heck of a lot less salve for the soul ;) Cheers!
