Future Cruises to St. John's Newfoundland?

One of my bucket list destinations is St. John's, but none of the main cruise lines have posted it as a destination for 2015. Any insight into this? I probably wouldn't be able to head there until 2016 anyway, but it makes me nervous that it isn't offered next year.

Why not join us on the Oceania Marina, Montreal to London, May 16 to June 3, 2015? Note that the fares include airfare.

 

We have an amazingly active roll call, and would welcome even more people.

I haven't seen it on a non-trans-Atlantic cruise in quite a long time. I wish it were on more itineraries, it's a great port. As is St. Pierre-et-Miquelon.

It is so far away from the other Eastern Seaboard places that it is hard to work in. I just got a brochure from National Geographic/Linblad and it has a wonderful (expensive) cruise which includes Newfoundland, St. Pierre, the Magdalen Islands, and Cape Breton. It is called something about the Maritimes, but only Cape Breton is in the Maritimes!

I saw on the port website the Legend of the Seas stopped there on one of their short cruises

so maybe that is what the OP saw as well

 

We stop there next yr but it is a crossing

According to the Captain on the Royal Princess, its a very very difficult port to get in for a large ship, that plus location is probably a key reason for limited visits.
