How soon after departure time would you be able to see a ship on the webcam and also upon arrival?

The cam runs 24/7. Every day of the year. It's a live cam and you will see the ship right away from before it unites the ropes till it goes out into the ocean.

Between the two port everglades webcams you can ordinarily see a ship from the time it leaves the dock until it's well out to sea ... maybe 20 to 30 minutes. On arrival you might be able to see it 20 to 30 minutes before docking, depending on daylight.

Most HAL ships arrive pretty early. More often than not, it's dark. They're pretty well lit though. You can probably make them out since the webcam is in Sky Harbor, which is directly in front of the channel.

Yes it's on the drop down list of cams on top left of the everglades web cam page. It was off line for a week but back up and running again.
