Live from Explorer's 14 Night Repositioning S. Caribbean cruise to Port Canaveral

Carol -- another poster started a short thread about your cruise and said that the food was really good. Is the food good -- DH is a very picky eater and he feels that the food on FR is less good than it was. Thanks

 

Not every dish was spectacular, but in general the dinners were quite good. I was pleased. :)

 

Must have started Nov 1st. I was on the Explorer Oct 23rd cruise and had no problem using our minutes for the entire cruise.

The internet minutes thing is on THE ALLURE.

 

Not the Explorer.

 

Allure has the new high speed system. And has always had pervasive wifi. Explorer has neither.

I was told that THIS TIME, they were aware that this was a repositioning cruise that would terminate in Port Canaveral. ;)

 

They had 10 suitcases and were DRIVING back home.

In a van or something I hope. 😆 Enjoy Allure, I almost couldn't resist booking that one...But I did resist and because god has a sense of humor, I went puddle surfing in NYC and landed on my face monday. I am ok. 🏄

This was our first cruise with a negative balance. We had a nice OBC and try as I might, we just didn't spend it all! I KNOW!! The free Diamond drinks helped that along... ;);)

We've had that happen ONCE! It sure was nice, so we took out the last $35 dollars and blew it at the casino! That was a lot for us to lose in one night (our usual budget is $10 a piece). Yes, those free diamond drinks also help.

I found the wifi on the Explorer to be HORRENDOUS. As I sit here and type this from the Quantum - wow what a difference!!

Agree with you, oh my goodness - it took us 25 minutes to write our son a Happy Birthday post on his Facebook wall. Ridiculous. Glad it is faster for you on Quantum. :)
