Best Way to get to Maho Beach at St. Maarten's

We will be visiting St. Maarten in early January on the Liberty. My husband wants to go to Maho Beach to see the planes landing. What is the best way to get there from the pier? I didn't see an excursion that mentioned this particular beach. Thanks for your help!:)

cab/taxi would be my guess, but please do check out the port of call board for Saint Maarten, there may be other options noted there.:)

We were in St. Maarten a few years ago and we too went to Maho Beach. We took a taxi both ways. Not too long of a ride if I remember and it cost about $10 each way.

There is a beach bar where you can sit and watch the planes come in.

We did a tour with Bernard's Tours - took us all around the island, spent some time at a beach and then went to Maho at the right time that all the big planes land (I think it was around 2 p.m.). I would recommend that tour.

Another vote for Bernards, we have toured with him twice. Get to see the whole island incl Mail and Orient Beach.

CHeck out Noel Tours thru google. They have a stop at Maho.

You can take a bus (Toyota vans) for $2 each way. They leave from Back Street which is one block behind Front Street where all the shop are. Their license plates are "BUS".
