13cheermom Posted November 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2014 Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels in Port Canaveral? Have used the Radisson on previous cruises, and was pretty good value for a park/stay/cruise option. When checking for upcoming cruise, noticed the free shuttle and breakfast is now additional charge. Checked out the Country Inn & Suites and rates inclusive are cheaper, but haven't stayed at this location before. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. :D
Clarea Posted November 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2014 The Country Inn is a newer hotel than the Radisson and includes free breakfast. We alternate between that and the Residence Inn.
13cheermom Posted November 10, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted November 10, 2014 Thanks for the info, how was the shuttle to the port situation? It was always crazy crowded in the morning and seemed chaotic getting to the port at the Radisson, just wondered if Country Inn was the same scenario? This will be in October so the pools at the Radisson aren't really needed and since they don't include shuttle or breakfast in the rate, it kind of lost its appeal to us. Thought it might be time to change to a new hotel.

When we were there in Aug. you were directed to one of the meeting rooms depending on which ship were sailing. Our shuttle time was 10:30 but at 10:10 we had jsut gotten to the room, the shuttle pulled up and we were taken out the door from that room to the outside and away we went. No more chaos in the lobby. We have also stayed at CI&S and like them as well. The shuttle situation was pretty organized but you cannot pre-book your shuttle time ahead. They have the same husband/wife drivers they have had for years and they are great! With the Radisson you can book your shuttle when you make your room resev. 13cheermom Posted November 11, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted November 11, 2014 We are staying at the Hampton Inn good deal on cruise and stay with hot breakfast How is the parking at the Hampton Inn, as far as leaving a vehicle there, safety wise? Also how does there shuttle service work, can you reserve an early time prior to check-in? The Hampton will run about $137/nite vs Country Inn is $154/nite for same features. Thanks for the information.

Glad to hear that, we haven't been there since 2011, but it was like a zoo then, you never felt confident that there would be space available. I still hate that they are now charging for services that used to be included. It's a nice hotel for families and my girls really enjoyed the pool area whenever we stayed there. They are older now and we cruise alone now so not as much use for those amenities. Thanks for the information!

This is true......but keep in mind (unless they have changed it) you cannot reserve more than 24hrs ahead of when you need the shuttle. We don't have a problem with that because we drive down so we call from the road as soon as we are in the 24hr "shuttle window" so we can get an early shuttle time. Those waiting until they arrive to check into the hotel are usually stuck with the later times. We will be staying there again in June with the family...... Starry Eyes Posted November 11, 2014 #12 Share Posted November 11, 2014 We spent last Sunday night at Country Inn. Pleasant, fast check in. also handled shuttle reservation at check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Sadly, I was to drive off in the rental car to attend a conference, while DH took shuttle to Enchantment. He reports that folks were very nice to him and took him over earlier than scheduled. I'd be happy to stay at Country Inn again, but our next stay is at Radison before boarding FOS.
