Transfers in San Juan

We will be sailing from San Juan on November 19th on the Serenade OTS and will be arriving in San Juan the night before. (9:50 PM) We wil be traveling with 10 total (4 adults 6 kids (7-11)) and need transfers to the Sheraton Old San Juan. Is our best bet a few cabs or has anyone used another company perhaps with a larger vehicle (van / bus)? I am considering both cost & time efficiency given the hour.

We always cab it. They have big vans that hold 6-8 people. Make sure you stop at the cab stand and get the price written down so you don't get ripped off. Click on my link below to see taxi fares.

I have continued to search this site and did find the cost of cabs from the Airport to the Hotel ($16 plus excess luggage). This seems quite reasonable. We will require two cabs but even at that, and the extra charges for luggage, it will be cheeper than the $85 I was quoted by one comany for a reserved van transfer for all of us.
