Kemah Boardwalk-what did you think of this?

Tillman Fertitta (Landry's Seafood) bought all the restaurants and has really developed it. There are rides for the kids, a large selection of foods, and boat watching, as it is the entrance to Clear Lake, a huge marina area. The NASA visitor's center is also nearby.

When in Galveston, Moody Gardens is a world class attraction, also the Elissa and the Texas Seaport Museum.

We are traveling to Galveston 3 days pre-cruise. Can you tell me what you thought about Kemah Boardwalk? We are a family of 5. Is it worth the stop? Should we pass by and go on to better things? Thanks, can't wait!:)

Been off line for awhile. Just saw this post. We have enjoyed the boardwalk several times. The boys did rock climbing. A couple of times we have seen a band in the center with entertainers (magicians, etc) around. The center part has a water system that squirts water and the kids love to run through it. I'm not sure if it's hooked up to the music or not. I liked the roller coaster myself. And since I know you are on a budget... simply make your way into the Aquarium restaurant to look around upstairs. Must do! The walls to ceilings are aquariums with beautiful fish. If I'm not mistaken they even have a small shark.
