PrincessPoopdeck Posted November 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2014 Saw that there was a change in the Dream port. Today they were in Cayman and not Belize. Any guess why ? Will ours be changed?
loubetti Posted November 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2014 It could have to do with weather usually. It is what it is. Always remember your cruise contact. They can change whatever whenever for whatever reason.
skrufy Posted November 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2014 The port of Belize is a tender port and its about a 15 minute tender to the dock. The sea can get rough at the distance thee ship is from port. Hence, a possible reroute.
Ykgorbie Posted November 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 14, 2014 We were told that the tender distance is 5 miles, so yes, the seas can be awfully choppy that far out....
realmccoy Posted November 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2014 I would be interested to know...usually if they have to skip a port they don't go to another. We r going to Belize in 2 weeks so wonder what happened.
ashley@cruisecritic Posted November 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Saw that there was a change in the Dream port. Today they were in Cayman and not Belize. Any guess why ? Will ours be changed? Hi there, Just checked in with Carnival PR, and the ship was always scheduled to call on Grand Cayman yesterday, not Belize. There was no change. Quote: "This was the itinerary for the Dream, and we didn't deviate from it." Not sure if this helps, but I figured I'd pass the info along.
