Crown and Anchor question

Hi!

We are looking into going on a longer cruise next year. The issue is that we are 7 days away from Diamond level.

Question: Will they change us into the diamond level benefits if achieved during the cruise or will it only be applicable for the next cruise?

Should we do a mileage run before the longer cruise?

Thinking of booking 2x one week back to back. Will they have time to process that we would be diamond on the second cruise?

A few questions im sure some gurus out there will know!

Thank you!

You only earn points and change C&A level after the completion of your cruise.

If you book a consecutive cruise, yes, you will be recognized on the second part of your b2b. Just let the Loyalty Ambassador know during the first cruise.

They don't change the level until the cruise after. If you did a B2B where you were emerald on one and diamond on the next you would get Diamond benefits on the second cruise (you may want to find the loyalty ambassador on cruise one and let them know). You would not get any additional diamond booking discounts though until the next booking you made.

I did a short cruise before a longer cruise so that I was Diamond on the long cruise. I am able to drive to the port and associated expenses were low, so it worked out in my case. It really depends what a short cruise is going to cost you "per point" and if you feel there is value in it.

points are not earned/applied until the END of the cruise. usually takes about ten days to hit your account. on a back to back it is usually not too hard to get the new level immediately for the second leg, you just need to coordinate with the loyalty ambassador on board during the first leg.

try a JS or GS for a shorter cruise first.. double points,
