Anyone on the CAS millionaire slot tourney?

Got the invite and booked Breakaway in July.

 

I got the offer and haven't booked yet. Having 2nd thoughts.

 

I read where CAS based this 7 day cruise payouts on 120 players who each buy in for $200. in effect--- ( $24,000 for CAS)

 

They are only going to pay out a total of $18,500 to the top 20 winners. Ten of which will only receive $100 free slot play.

 

If I add The entry fee of $200 to their fare offer of $403/ pp (Interior cabin) total with tax .fees and Insurance , It will divide out to be an $86 / day pp cruise . That would buy a good carnival cruise/ pp on 1 of their largest ships.

 

$200 fee seems quite a bit risky for me to try to win it back when I would have to be in the top 10 winners out of 120 or more .

 

Am I missing something here?

 

Or are a lot of you getting a free cruise from this offer and only paying the $200 entry fee?

I was on the Gem for one of these a couple months ago. Never saw a ships casino that busy. I didn't play in the tournament but it was full.

My friend got this offer. She pays taxes and port charges only plus $200 for slot tournament.
