Mini suite on the Pearl

Looking at possibly upgrading from a gty bal to a gty mini but I am a little concerned about being on deck 11 because of possible noise from deck 12.

 

Can anyone tell me their experience with mini on deck 11 of the Pearl?

We sailed in a mini-suite two years ago on the Pearl. I can't remember the room number, but I know we were under the buffet. We had no noise problems.

We were on the Pearl last December one deck under the pool and never noticed anything except one night when the crew was cleaning the pool deck and I think the only reason we woke up was a loud noise out in the hall.

 

Two sound sleepers and one light and we didn't notice anything.

Check the prices on penthouse and above - we were able to upgrade from a balcony to get into the "Suite Life" for only a small increase. Well worth it in every way.

We were in 11616, close to the aft elevators. We had no problem with noise. Loved the location as it was closer to the food.:)

We had 2 spa mini suites on 11. No noise at all. Loved it.

11002 & 11004, way forward and under the spa/library area--no problems.

A bit of a walk to the buffet in the morning, but it's good for you! :)

 

Have already booked again in the same general area for our next cruise!

In other words, personally I wouldn't book a GTY minisuite on Dawn class or Jewel class ships because of the possible noise issues (after all, GTY bookings will get the cabins nobody else has booked, meaning possibly the worst ones).

 

If I could choose a specific cabin, then it would be ok.

We had a mini suite on Pearl 2 years ago. Just outside the aft elevators. Never a problem with noise, even with the elevators right there. We loved it so much, we booked the exact cabin on the Jewel, too.
