Ellaleah Posted December 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2014 I will be traveling with my daughter and 3 grandchildren in 2 OV cabins. 2 chrn are with my daughter and one with me. We are possibly planning on all 3 sleeping with me. We are unsure as to whether to bring an air mattress along as if our accommodations are 3 twins, we think we might need it. Can anyone shed light on what type of sleeping arrangements they might give us for 3 people in an OV?

SadieN Posted December 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) Which ship? Fantasy class OV are two lowers and an upper. Edited December 4, 2014 by SadieN
serene56 Posted December 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2014 It would depend on what ship. how do you plan on blowing up the air mattress? Older ships have roll aways. How old are the kids? if small 2 kids can easily share the bed-- one at the top and one on the bottom of the bed
near the beach Posted December 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2014 As stated. Fantasy class can have twin beds and one or two uppers. Other class ships have twin beds, a sofa bed and one or two uppers.

SuiteTraveler Posted December 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) I doubt that Carnival will allow the air mattress. You should call them and check beforehand. Otherwise, book a cabin with 4 berths. BTW, if these are adjoining staterooms, why not put the kids in one room and you and your daughter in the other? Thank you for all your help the miracle will get you two beds on the floor and a sofa bed that converts-- it does not pull out. You can ask the cabin steward for extra blankets. I would take a sleeping bag before I took a blow up mattress. (there is one outlet in the cabin http://www.cruises4me.com/carnival-cruise-line/mi/images/sp_ocean_view.jpg will look similar to that
Rare Tapi Posted December 4, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) I doubt that Carnival will allow the air mattress. They will. We brought a Sesame Street inflatable bed when we sailed on the Dream. Our son was 2 and had already transitioned to a regular bed with a bumper at home. We were a bit concerned about him falling off the sofa bed on the ship though, so we brought the inflatable bed with us, which we would slide under the main bed during the day. No problems, no worries, no frowns from the cabin steward. This is what we brought: Edited December 4, 2014 by Tapi
