Jasjas Posted December 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2014 We will be disembarking Norwegian Sun at Canada Place in Vancouver on a Monday in September 2015. How easy is it to find a Taxi from Canada Place to our downtown hotel - 2 persons with two pieces of luggage each.? I see that the fare will be $10-$20 depending on traffic.? Sincere thanks. Jasjas. Easy to find a taxi, and Canada Place is right downtown so it might even be less than $10. Some hotels are even walking distance Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
BCHappyGal Posted December 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2014 Plenty of taxi's in Vancouver the sometimes long taxi line ups in the cruise ship terminal is a result of the traffic congestion where the Taxi's have to turn into the terminal (underground) entrance. To avoid this line up when you exit customs (the secured passenger only area) just walk to your right following the signs that read "City Centre & Buses" - once you pass the buses you will come to a set of double doors under a sign that reads "Hotel & Convention Centre" entre these doors and take the elevator up 1 level to "M" - exit the elevator and turn left - you are now at the front entrance to the Pan Pacific Hotel - Lots of taxi's
xlxo Posted December 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2014 In general... Vancouver has a taxi surplus and many are ready to serve cruise terminals with minimal delays. There are a few days where several cruise ship terminals unload at the same time.... that gets a little interesting... http://www.portmetrovancouver.com/about/news/2014/09/19/high-cruise-passenger-volumes-expected-september-21-and-
