CruisinCouple5414 Posted December 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Hello All, My wife and I last night changed from a deck 9 midship D1 cabin(connecting) to 1702 on the Freedom for our cruise in May. This will be our third time on the Freedom and we have always stayed in a D1/D2 deck 9 midship room and wanted to try something a little different. Has anyone stayed in this room and have pictures of it? Was it loud with the windjammer being right on the deck above? Any insight is greatly appreciated! MagicMike Posted December 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2014 We had 1700 on one sailing, nothing from Windjammer above.
Rare orville99 Posted December 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2014 We grab 1702 every chance we get. Have never had any noise problem with the WJ. Best cabin on the ship IMO.

Ken at the beach Posted December 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Had 1702 on the Liberty. Loved the cabin and especially the balcony. Absolutely no noise from the WJ. Enjoy:)
WhenIsLobsterNight Posted December 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 5, 2014 They number them slightly different ship to ship, but here is the equivalent on the Independence of the Seas. We have this room booked for our May 25th cruise upcoming. Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBO_TDsAn9Q

Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBO_TDsAn9Q Those cabin numbers are all identical on Freedom, Liberty and Indy. 1702 and 1402 are just mirror images of each other as they are on opposite sides of the ship.

Zero noise from the Windjammer. The balcony is HUGE and the location is great, very private and quiet. It's our first choice of location on Freedom class ships.
