Freedom of the Seas Aft Cabin 1702

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

My wife and I last night changed from a deck 9 midship D1 cabin(connecting) to 1702 on the Freedom for our cruise in May. This will be our third time on the Freedom and we have always stayed in a D1/D2 deck 9 midship room and wanted to try something a little different.

Has anyone stayed in this room and have pictures of it? Was it loud with the windjammer being right on the deck above?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

They number them slightly different ship to ship, but here is the equivalent on the Independence of the Seas. We have this room booked for our May 25th cruise upcoming. Here is a video:

Those cabin numbers are all identical on Freedom, Liberty and Indy.

1702 and 1402 are just mirror images of each other as they are on opposite sides of the ship.

We grab 1702 every chance we get. Have never had any noise problem with the WJ. Best cabin on the ship IMO.

This is a very old post, so you may not see this, but if you do: how’s the view from the balcony?    Is there structural stuff blocking it?  Just booked 1702.

The view is amazing.  We've had 1702 on Independence, and yes, there is superstructure, but it was not bothersome to us.  Zero noise from the Windjammer.

The balcony is HUGE and the location is great, very private and quiet.   It's our first choice of location on Freedom class ships.
