private tour - not beach or tubing

I'm trying to find information on booking a private tour (just 2 of us) to see the island and points of interest. I know it's not safe to venture out on our own so does anyone have any suggestions on who we can contact/

Just back from Belize City. Hubby and I lucked out and went on a tour with Bert Adventure Tours. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We Went to Altun Ha Mayan site, but he will tailor your tour around your likes. Bert Sutherland on Facebook. He got us back to port with plenty of time to eat and shop.

P.s. Belize City is mainland. ;)

We had a great day with Alan from Experience Belize Tours. He picked us up at the lighthouse and toured us around the city. We then got to Altun Ha before all the cruise ship busses. Super cool to be there without all the crowds. Alan was a great guide, very knowledgable and patient. Highly recommend!!

You go out the main gate/entrance and turn right and walk about a block.

 

If you are sitting on the starboard side of the tender (your right when facing the front of the tender) heading in you can see it. It's not very tall. But an interesting story behind it's name.
