Tampa port parking questions

I am taking a cruise from Tampa for the fist time in Feb.

I am wondering how the port parking is set up there. Is it as cautic as the port of Miami, or vary easy like Port Canaveral?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

There are several hotels in the Rocky Point area offering cruise parking packages that include shuttles to & from the port.

There are several parking lots near the cruise port that offer parking for less than 15$ a day.

Thanks for the info, I think I will just park at the port for this trip since I will be driving in the morning of departure. JohninDC, you stated it is easy and I have a question. Is it like Port Canaveral where you have a place to pull up and drop your baggage and then park your car? I have tried to research how it works there and have not be able to get a clear picture of exactly how it is.

We've cruised out of Tampa a number of times. The parking lot is right across from the terminal, so we just parked our car and wheeled our luggage across. i presume, you can drop off your luggage first, but, we have never done that.
