rkmw Posted December 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2014 p&o have made this statement about their new smoking policy, its going to please the non smokers and upset the smokers We value all of our guests and do everything we can to accommodate their lifestyle requirements including providing a designated smoking area onboard. A number of factors influenced our decision to trial a change in the designated smoking area on the new look Pacific Dawn. With Pacific Dawn’s new design, the whole of Deck 12 is now a family area including activities for children. With this in mind, we have a duty of care to guests including children and to our crew to reduce possible exposure to the health effects of passive smoking. Our guests who wish to smoke can now do so on Deck 7 starboard side where they will also find plenty of seating this will maybe include all 3 ships

Deck 7 is the Promenade Deck I believe. Isnt that where passengers go to take their daily constitution and get healthy by walking up and down the deck ? kunnocat Posted December 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) I hope that smoking policy does not include Pacific Eden, but I'm afraid it will. I have booked B2B in a starboard cabin on the promenade deck. There maybe a cancellation coming up, Other option is to swap to Port side. bazzaw Posted December 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2014 I think they have always been able to smoke on the starboard side of Promenade??? Seems now that there will be no smoking anywhere around the pool - that will suit me!! :) Barry

It shouldn't make any difference to those who do their laps.
