Port Canveral - does this sound like a good plan?

I am traveling solo in February into MCO. Based on recommendations here my current plan is to rent a car at the airport (coming in day before cruise) and then drop it that am at a place by cruise port and take shuttle to pier.

Then coming back take RCCL's bus transfer - I have a 2:30 return flight.

Does that all make sense or should I arrange a share van coming back? I read about double booking or vans leaving without you and it made me nervous.

Your plan sounds fine to me. If you have any more than one person in your party going back to the airport, I'd look into one of the shuttle services, such as Travelynx or Cocoa Beach Shuttle. Those are likely to be less expensive for parties of two or more.

I think Travelynx is cheaper for your return than using the RCCL transfer. Travelynx is excellent and we have had family use them to/from the port many times. It might be worth checking into them to see what the price is. They have many shuttles that run frequently so I wouldn't worry about missing the shuttle.
