I found these pics from another post showing deck 6 obstructed view verandah cabins. Our agent told us if its just the lifeboat outside its a 50% obstruction, lifeboat and white structure its 75%. Either way for us it was only a few pounds more than an inside. I guess some may get a pair of white structures which would be the worse case scenario.

6220 was a nice room centered over the lifeboat.. it made for a lovely nautical feel. But it is directly over the Bionic Bar. The Bionic bar plays the same song every time it makes a drink. If you are a late night person this room will be OK, if you go to sleep earlier, like 10:00 get a different room.

I liked the reclining chairs on the balcony.

We are going to book inside up high for our next trip.. deck 11. Any recommendations?

Didn't have any problems at all x

Hi Claireabella !

We've booked that same cabin for a 12 day Western Caribbean next October, glad to hear you had no problems. This is a new option for us this year, so it was a crapshoot to booking an obstructed-view room, my goal is more to be able to open the door for air during the cruise rather than the view. But the agent showed us a few pics taken within the cabins available and it looks like it won't be bad at all.:)

Looking forward to it !

We are taking our kids next October and would like to see if anyone has any photos of the obstruction in rooms 6196 or 6204

A belated welcome to CC - took 10+ years to finally get the courage to post?

You might have better luck searching the Anthem threads (or maybe even Ovation) - very little is being posted about Quantum.

Below is a deck 6 plan for Anthem showing where the lifeboat and tender davits (hoist/supports) are. These are indicated by the arrows.

Cabin 6196 will have a view over the middle of a tender similar to the first shot below.

Cabin 6204 view will be over the front of a tender with two davits in front of the balcony to its right similar to that shown below.

Thank you Biker19! lol Yes, finally had a question that my mom (mommom porkchop) couldn't answer! Only because she was in the middle of a ten day out of Bayonne and booked on board for us. I was so excited to see the rooms that I decided to ask here. Sure enough, you guys rock and were able to provide advice, pictures, and more! Thank you!!
