Tell me about Briliance of the Seas...

We had the best cruise experience on the Brilliance.

First, we did the second-to-last Baltic cruise of the year, disembarked in Harwich (UK) and took the train to London as the Brilliance got ready for its last Baltic cruise of the year.

Second, after a day or two in London, we walked the Essex Way for 80 miles towards Harwich. What a contrast to cruising was this walk through green rainy landscapes and staying in B&Bs.

Third, after arriving in Harwich, we stayed in a hotel for one night and then walked (of course) to the terminal and got back onboard the Brilliance for a repositioning cruise from Harwich to Boston.

Was was great is that the Brilliance held our heavy cruise clothes baggage while we were on our walk and they were waiting for us in our stateroom for the second cruise.

We just got back from our Brilliance cruise today and it was amazing. The ship looked much newer than I expected. Giovanni's Table was incredible. We'll worth the price. We did not go to Chops . I loved the Park Cafe as an alternative to the buffet.

2 tips:

2 for 1 Margaritas in Rita's cantina every evening. Yum.

Go to the MD for lunch on a sea day. They have amazing made to order chopped salads.

Have a great trip

You may not know this, but are the margaritas at Rita's Cantina included in the drink packages?

Yes and they make very good non-alcoholic drinks for non-drinkers. However, during the 2 for 1 margarita time, the drinks are pre-mixed and not very good IMHO. When I tried to order a different type of margarita, it was not included in the 2 for 1.

The few food choices they have are cheap and decent but many people simply drank the 2 for 1 margaritas and brought food from the buffet which is right next to Rita's. Several of the people sitting in Rita's were eating food from the Windjammer.

Nobody mentioned the covered pool.

When I last sailed Brilliance, in 2007, the adult pool had a cover. I sure hope it's still there as I'm doing a B2B on her this summer and the weather will be quite cool.

She is one of my favorite ships in the line. Just the perfect size for intimacy and privacy.

We are in 8670 on our next cruise ! It is next to a 2 bedroom suite. I am looking forward to my first aft room . We have sailed the Jewel before so I am sure we will love Brilliance. Love all the glass.

That is our room as well!!!

We sailed on her last month and I agree, she is a beautiful ship! Had an aft suite 1600 and it was lovely. No noise from the windjammer above as others have stated and we slept with the door open. My elderly parents didn't care too much for the long walk though. Our cabin steward Dane was only so so

There were three of us and couldn't get three wine glasses, three coffee cups, three bags of coffee,etc..... Everything was in twos.

That aside we had a wonderful time on this beautiful ship and I am looking to book a family cruise for next year!
