Venice Vaporetto Pass

We will be on an 8 day Po River cruise that begins and ends in Venice and is docked for 4 nights in Venice at different times during the week. Would it be worth it to buy the 7 day Vaporetto Pass or would that be overdoing it? On some of the days we will be docked at the Marittima where the large cruise ships dock which seems like a far walk from Rialto and San Marco, etc.

You will definitely use the vaporetto multiple times each day. The 7-day pass is quite cheap compared with a couple of 1-day passes. So: yes buying the 7-day pass is what I would recommend.

It depends on your energy level and interests. After my first trip to Venice I stopped buying passes because I realized that I rarely use the vaporettos, generally only when I need to get to a specific place by a specific time. Other than that I walk and wander in Venice.
