Susa Posted August 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2005 We're set for the Century 12/5. How soon will we learn the agendas for lectures, show themes, movies, etc. for our trip? I could only find general things on X site. Is there another site to visit for more detailed info or must we wait for our X packet to arrive? Thanks
flashdog_1 Posted August 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2005 You will not know until you get onboard, go to your room and read your Celebrity today. You won't know about the following day(s), either. You have to wait for the daily paper which is delivered the evening before the day/date on the daily. (Tuesday's daily is delivered on Monday night). In general, however, the lectures will occur the day before the event, such as a lecture on glaciers will occur the day before the arrival at the glacier. There will also be narration during the glacier viewing. If you arrived late to the ship, you can catch the lecture on the ship's tv channel if it has already taken place. Same with the lecture on whales. Same with the shows. The "lectures" on ports are mainly shopping talks, and will occur the day before the port is reached. So it is necessary to read the dailies in order to get the most out of your trip. I missed the lecture on accupuncture and called to see if it would be repeated (sometimes they are) but alas, it would not be. You'll need to mark the activities you are interested in, because there may be two or three that occur during the same hour, so you have to do some choosing! 98Charlie Posted August 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2005 Susa: As previous poster stated - daily agendas are printed in the ship's newsletters and generally you know what is going on the next day by reading the newsletter that is delivered to your cabin the night before. We have been on several cruises where the CD has attended our CC parties and given us a verbal ``preview'' of ship board events to come during the week. :) Hope you enjoy your Century cruise. We first sailed her two years ago and are booked on the Century 2/18/06 cruise to eastern Caribbean. Dianne
