Port of houston ---> iah ????

We are coming in to Port of Houston (Not Galveston) ... need to get to IAH for an 11:35 am flight. Is it possible????

The Princess website recommends not making any flight reservations out of Houston prior to 1:30 pm for those passengers arriving at Bayport. One of the reasons for this is that, unfortunately, weather conditions often delay the ship's arrival, sometimes for several hours.

 

If the weather is cooperating and there are no other problems with the Houston Ship Channel, your ship (the Emerald) is scheduled to arrive at 7am. Debarkation for "walk offs" (those who are carrying all their own luggage) begins around 7:20 am. Thus, you could conceivably be off the ship and through ICE (which does not take long) by 8am. The Emerald arrives on Sunday morning, so you should be able to get to IAH by taxi in an hour.

 

There have been problems this winter with delayed arrivals in Bayport. Our arrival on December 28th was delayed by an hour, but they were able to make up some of that time with debarkation and we debarked only 30 minutes after our assigned time.

 

So, if you do a "walk off" and aren't too delayed in arrival, you should be able to make your 11:35 flight.
