Silver Tier Wifi

Has Regent gone cheap by removing free wifi for Silver tier? Was just looking at perks for Silver and noticed that they eliminated wifi. We had included wifi last cruise. When did they take it away from us, are we grandfathered in, and did anyone get notice?

Hi, if you were silver prior to 30/09/14 you will continue to have the free wifi. We had the free wifi on recent cruise October/November.

Jean, Thanks for the info. Is that cut off date, September 30, 2014, carved in stone somewhere? I just read a review of the Mariner by ROYF who indicated that he was denied wifi per a promo offer because it was not in writing. It would be nice to have that in writing when I board the Mariner in April.

In the UK brochure it is written on the page explaining all concierge and member benefits. It is also on the rssc.com web site under member benefits for each tier. It's definitely in writing there.

We will be back on Mariner after you in June and looking forward to it.

The WiFi service on Navigator recently had very good reception in the cabin and all areas on the ship.

We are cruising on the Voyager in February. After reading this thread we emailed Regent asking them to confirm that we attained Silver prior to Sept 30,2014 so therefore get free unlimited wifi. They promptly emailed us confirming we will receive free unlimited wifi. We have hard copied this and put it in our cruise documents. Hopefully we won't need it but we have written confirmation just in case.
