Astro Flyer Posted January 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) The only covered minisuite balconies I'm aware of are on Emerald deck aft (E718 to E729). Edited January 9, 2015 by Astro Flyer
VTX-AL Posted January 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Grand Princess, looking at Emerald Deck. Right now we have a balcony rm booked, thinking about getting a mini suite instead. Mini suites on Grand , Deck 9 (Dolphin) and not covered. Some mini's (covered) on Emerald seem to be much in demand and go quickly. ...VTX-Al

Emerald deck minis are covered. Only those on that deck, so don't go to Dolphin.
Colo Cruiser Posted January 9, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Mini-suites: looking to get a covered balcony...how do I know if it's covered? First time cruiser here. If they (Emerald deck mini) are available and not a GTY then grab an actual cabin and mark it no upgrade.
BabsinTX Posted January 12, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2015 The only covered minisuite balconies I'm aware of are on Emerald deck aft (E718 to E729). We booked E729 on the Grand for our first Princess cruise next month. I learned on CC that it has a longer balcony since it is the last one before the stern of the ship. Here's a photo link: http://s1194.photobucket.com/user/ASeaPrincess1/media/DSCN2170.jpg.html The curved section is the extension.
