SissasMomE Posted January 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Is there is separate Haven area on Great Stirrup Cay?
david_sobe Posted January 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Its been a few years since I was there but there was not any Haven area. Haven guests do get priority tender which is a great perk. You are the first to get to the island and get primo seats right in front of all the chairs and in front of the water.
emcelh Posted January 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Is there is separate Haven area on Great Stirrup Cay? I don't think so. There wasn't the last time we were there anyway. Not having to wait in lines for tenders is a plus though.

ncklhaus Posted January 10, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Haven access gives you priority tendering, but so does booking ANY excursion on the island, a cabaña , or a clam shell.

After the Haven? Or does everyone go at the same time?
ncklhaus Posted January 11, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 11, 2015 Everyone with priority can go whenever they want, but they are able to go on the first tender with everyone in Haven. We have never been in Haven, but have reserved a clam shell once and a cabaña the last time. We were told to meet the Concierge in a specific area both times with Haven guests. m-dfromjersey Posted January 11, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 11, 2015 It's worth noting that the GSC tenders have a capacity of about 450 people, so there's plenty of room.
Luv2cruisewithtwins Posted January 11, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 11, 2015 A BIG perk of being in the haven is priority tenders. Be sure to tell your concierge you would like to be on the 1st tender for the private island. Our concierge sent us a letter stating he will escort us right onto the tenders at 8:30. If passengers didn't want to go that early, he also arranged to meet the next crew at 9:30. I was on the first tender at 8:30. I took all 5 towels for the rest of my family, they wanted to sleep in and take the 9:30. My tender was full with suite passengers and passengers with excursions. I had the choice of the beach!!!!!!!! I reserved the seating I wanted and then took a nap on my lounge chair!! The private island is my favorite port, so relaxing, so easy, so safe and fun!!!!! cantthinkofanythingfun Posted January 12, 2015 #15 Share Posted January 12, 2015 It would be nice if they gave Haven guests priority tenders on the way back to the ship. The line does get incredibly long at the end of the day.

SissasMomE Posted January 12, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted January 12, 2015 I was in Haven last year and there is no special area for Haven guests on the island--but it is a good idea Royal Caribbean does it, which is why I asked. We have quite a bit of OBC for a 3-night cruise, and I was trying to decide whether or not to use it on a cabana. I figured if there was a designated area, then I wouldn't need to. After looking at the cabanas, I think we will just get off the ship on the first tender, and get a chair by the water.
edsbiggbuck Posted January 12, 2015 #20 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Is there is separate Haven area on Great Stirrup Cay? Book The Cabana! Book The Cabana! It was the best money we spent the entire cruise. First your off the ship first, Second you have wait staff All Day! Never did we have to wait in line for drinks or Food. Worth Every penny. It was very hot and the Lounge chairs, Refridge, Towels, And Best of all No Crowds! Set Back from the Water. There were 14 of us and we got 2 Cabanas and just invited people we meet on the cruise to join us for the day. They give you braclets when you first arrive to let the staff know you in a cabana we just tipped the staff for a another 6 braclets and gave them to friends when they showed up. TrekkerPA Posted January 12, 2015 #22 Share Posted January 12, 2015 We were on GSC last weekend, and for my family (teenagers), a cabana would not have been worth the money since they wanted to be exploring around the island and snorkeling, etc. But we were thinking that if you didn't want to be walking around much, wanted guaranteed shade and didn't care about being right on the water - or had either really young kids who needed a nap, or older people with you, the cabanas might be nice. The smaller ones looked nicer to me - a slightly more pretty area.
FreestyleNovice Posted January 12, 2015 #23 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Go with a small cabana. Absolutely worth the money (with the credit), great all day service, fridge with water, chips with dip, fruit, towels, floats, shower etc. With any weather, windy or hot, a cabana offers a place to retreat :)

Lexuswilly Posted January 13, 2015 #25 Share Posted January 13, 2015 It's a bit of a hike but head to the lagoon beach. It's never busy. We were there 3 times last year. There is a bar and water toys to rent. Perfect if you want to stay away from the party crowd. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
