audio tour guides - for independent exploring

Recommended Posts

We are taking our first Scandinavian cruise in May 2015. Has anyone found audio tour guides for Tallinn, Helsinki, or Visby? It'd be great to listen to tour highlights on our iPhone as we walk the old towns or ride the trams. We are doing ship excursions in most ports, but would really like to explore these 3 cities independently. Thanks!

Tallinn: Several years ago, we rented an audio guide at the TI in Tallinn. It was OK - covered most of the main points of interest in old town (but not in any depth).

Check-out the Tallinn TI online - I think they are still available (as part of the Tallinn card or as a separate rental).

Helsinki: Here is the link to the free audio guide that we used for the tram:

Hi can you explain more about what the "Tallinn TI" is? I googled it but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

Note, there is no tram 3T anymore, Its now tram 2 , changing to #3 and back to #2 during the route. Also note that the route has been changed a bit, the trams now passing the railway station instead of the Stockmann department store.

So to follow the audio guide you should step on tram 2 going North at the market.

So you should use this tram stop.

You can see another tram stop to the right of the tram on the picture but that one is for tram 2 going South. Don't take that one if you want to use the audio guide.
