Your time dining on the magic

From my experience, I think that they over-book ytd on the Magic. Just saying.

Could be, but on the December 14-21 cruise YTD worked perfectly. Only had a short wait the first night and the rest of the time we walked right in and had the same table and waitstaff because they were so good.

Some nights the line was forming at 5:00. I think it's easiest to just do early and go straight to your table.

Why do the people do that? Take early if you want to eat early

Dining room does not ever open early. Even for traditional

I'm not sure about why. It seems to me that there are too few hostesses. That creates a longer line. At 6:00 there was probably a 10-15 minute wait. By 6:30 most of the dining room was full. Somebody said that they had a two hour wait one night. Several people that we talked to said that they won't be doing ytd again. Maybe it's a problem on bigger ships or maybe on my cruise they over-booked.

YTD is also given to people that have a preference but what they wanted is full.

By reading here you would think the YTD is the most sought after time. its not- early traditional is.

so people who want early-- get YTD and go as close to 6pm as possible.

I believe the wait for YTD is really high if you go between 6:30-7:00 as you have to wait for the diners to get done eating to clear up a table.

I tried it twice.. one time I was given YTD when we wanted early (and we were platinum) we got there at 6pm each night
