Port Of Tampa

Is it easy to get a cab at the port to return to Tampa Airport or should we try to book car service. I really do not want to take a shuttle. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's very easy to get a cab at the port. Thats what we did last year. They are right there waiting for you. :) Its not a long ride to the airport, I'd take the cab.

Cabs will be lined up outside to take you to the airport. No need for a car service.. nor take the cruiselines shuttle..cab is the way to go

After retrieving our bags at the ariport, we attached our bag tags, asked a Yellow Cab dispatcher for a cab, and within minutes were in a van headed for the port.

 

Celebrity Horizon was berthed at Terminal 3 (815 Channelside Drive). The port is just 9 miles from the airport. A cab ride to the port has a standard $20 fare plus tips for the dispatcher and driver. Upon arrival our bags were accepted by baggage handler #85. Our tip sent him on his way. Of interest, The Florida Aquarium was practically next door to the pier.

Taxi or van- taxi is $20.00 set fee to port or port to airport. Wish all states would do this...very good deal.
