GROUPTRAVEL Posted January 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Our Feb cruise stops in Ocho Rios and we're deciding between these two tours. I've read the Blue Hole is beautiful and DRF is fun but too crowded. My BF would love doing the jumps at BH but I can't swim. We're leaning towards DRF so we both can participate in an activity but may not enjoy the crowds or hassle of walking up a human chain. Would I be able to explore the scenery and possible take a dip (in shallow) water at the Blue Hole or should we consider DRF instead? Thank you for your insight! Sheeba67 Posted January 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2015 We did both last year and they were both great. The Blue Hole is mostly deep river and great for jumping off the little cliffs in a very tropical environment. DRF is a crowded tourist stop, but it is well worth it climbing up the Falls. You may want to just do that on your own, without a tour guide for a little more adventure. It is not hard and would be easy to do on your own. Why not do both as we did? It is a very reasonable excursion.
riffatsea Posted January 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Please read the thread below which describes the Blue Hole. It is not a place to relax in shallow water: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2154292
