I will be leaving on Splendor 1/25 for 7 nights to W Carribean. If you have any questions leave them here and I will get them answered. I will be limiting my technology use while on board so look for my responses starting on Feb 1 during my 15 hour ride home. :) I will make sure to check questions up to check in Sunday morning/afternoon.

I will not promise answers to questions involving specific staff members, I am not going to bug people but anything about the ship, ports, excursions, let me know.

A few quick questions here.

1. How often is the taste bar open in the evenings?

2. If you play bingo, your thoughts on price and experience?

3. How crowded did the pool area get during your sailing?

I will be sailing on the splendor on late April in a group of 10 with kids ranging from 12-18.

If you could pick up a 9-11 kids program that would be great.

I am wondering how the CD is with scheduling the activities.

--

taste bar is opened from 5:30- 8:00 on some nights-- not every night.

Thanks so much for doing this! We would love any information you could get on the Seuss at sea breakfast...should we sign up when we board? Where does sign up take place? Anything we should know about the ship?

We are going in March to the eastern caribbean and can't wait!

Wondering about the spa. What is the pp or couple cost for a day or a week?

Also, if we do not buy anything, what areas of the spa are open to us as just plain passengers. For instance, can we use a spa hot tub, or steam room. I know we can use the gym and change/.showerrooms.

would love to know what movies are being shown out side and what that experience is like if you do it. Thx

Eeek! Thanks! We are cruising on March 1st for the Eastern Caribbean schedule.

1. Taking into account wind/sun, crowds, accessible chairs, ease of drink ordering, which area did you find to be the best to lounge at on sea days? Normally we hang out by the aft pools and was curious if this one is similar to the others we have experienced. Lido/middle pool is too crowded.

2. Did you find the middle pool area of the ship to be claustrophobic because of the way the walls and sliding ceiling are made?

3. Which stateroom are you in and did you hear noise or have lots of hustle around your door?

4. Current Comedians funny?

5. Best staff members you experienced while you were on board?

Thanks!!

I have a few questions...

- Are you staying somewhere the night before leaving out and if so can you leave your car there?

- Do they have Quest on this ship and if so how often?

- What are you doing in the ports?

- Does the casino only have the poker pro video table for Texas Hold Em or live dealers? Also how often do you notice people playing there? I've had a hard time a couple of cruises getting a game going.

Thanks!

Just heading back and let me tell you we had an AMAZING time. To answer your questions, other than the adults only hit tubs all the way in the back, which was overcrowded with 20 somethings, the other pools and hot tubs were never crowded. The slide was popular the first couple of days but even that was never a long wait. There is so much to do, people were very spread out.

We did Bingo once, it was ok. They have packages starting at 10PP and go up from there in 10 dollar increments pp.

Check the Daily Fun sheet at night for the tastings bar, it varies daily. We never went, passed by many times, but just one of those things we never got to. SO much to do.

Don't get overwhelmed. Take a highlighter and Mark the things at night that you want to do the following day so you don't miss anything.

Aside from gym and showers there is nothing for free. For 229.00 a week, no daily options, you get the pool and thermal room as well as saunas. The first day they have a tour. GO because they have raffles for free packages. You MUST be present for the raffle to win.

The movies are great. The pool is there for the kids while you watch, they showed Guardians of the Galaxy, Fault in Our Stars, Captain America, Rio, and many others I canot remember. They have free popcorn as well. Add salt. Lol. The robes make great blankets. They have 2 a day and typically one kid and one adult. Nothing R rated that I remember.

Our son didn't use this. There weren't many kids on our cruise in this age group and there wasn't a whole lot that interested him, he wanted to be out w us. The place is a ghost town during the day, more at night while parents did their thing, but he was exhausted by 10 so he slept in the room watching cartoons while we went out. It wasn't worth the extra money to keep him there after hours. The staff is great and the place is very clean.

Also got off the same cruise. If you have YTTD ask for Elmer. He is great and had a following. I don t know if they rotate the waiters, from set time and YTTD but if he is available , ask. Also go to the steakhouse cooking demonstration on the first Seaday. The samples are fantastic.
