Azura Bridgetown Tonight

Hi all,

 

can anyone on Azura in Bridgetown give a big wave to the boys on the Royal Navy ship HMS Severn which is berthed next to Azura in Bridgetown tonight. My son has been skyping me on board the Severn and moving the camera to show me the Azura,all lit up and looking fantastic. . Hope all on board are having a fabulous time. Cheers.

Oh! I wish I were there to see HMS Severn. I will be there in two weeks, but your son will be long gone by then! Sorry:(

 

What are they doing in Bridgetown?

Our Son is in the Royal navy and has just left HMS Dauntless we have often thought it would be great if we docked on a cruise somewhere and the dauntless was in so we could meet up for a beer you never know it might happen one day

Hi both,

 

the Severn has deployed to the Caribbean for 9 months,all the crew are working very hard in beautiful surroundings!lol. When I skyped my son saturday evening the Azura was docked next to his ship--I could see Azura all lit up and looking fabulous,as you say Barnetbybob would loved to have been on that ship and met up with my boy.

We are there from the 7th March and if your sons ship is in port I shall be certainly giving them a wave hopefully with a Union Jack flag in hand. God bless all our troops wherever they are

I always think of my days on HMS Vidal, a survey ship I served on from 64-66, when I have berthed in Bridgetown on a cruise ship.

 

We spent many happy months in the Caribbean, a bit different then, no tourists and good old rum shacks !!
