TERRIER1 Posted January 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2015 I emailed Oceania last week but still no reply. Can I cash a U.S. check on board for U.S. dollars? Is there a cap or a fee? Thanks.

Frankly, I'd be concerned about needing to transact any amount over $2500.00. It's not an "official" thing, but they do watch currency use through the Pursers Office and the amounts that will trigger an issue vary by where your ship physically is at that moment. It's not an Oceania thing, different Countries are so funny about money laundering et al, and the reports which must be filed are monstrously time consuming. . Right now, for some reason the Far East seems to be the hotbed of controversy, at least, that is where I'm hearing all of the shouting from.
