Wootwoot2015 Posted January 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2015 By the deck plan it is the first room right off of the atrium. Are we going to be able to get any sleep because of the noise? Thoughts about this location from seasoned cruisers would be so appreciated!! Thanks!!

Wootwoot2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 31, 2015 That may be helpful! I'm new here and I can't figure out how to start a new thread in my ship's forum! We will be on the Fantasy.
Indytraveler83 Posted January 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2015 I'm staying in E69 on the Elation (her sister ship) in a few weeks, and have been told to expect it to be noisy during the day, but it should quiet down after midnight. My strategy is just going to bring earplugs and to use them as needed. IMO, the location is too good to pass up if you can deal with a little noise. forwardcabin Posted January 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) We've stayed in E62 on Carnival Ecstasy. Cabins on the Lobby Deck and close to the lobby are great locations on Fantasy Class ships because you have quick access to all the fun. We did experience some noise before and after midnight coming from the piano bar on the next level above the lobby--and especially if they left the piano bar doors open during the entertainment. The farther you are from the atrium, the less likely noise will be a problem. Hope your experience is different and that you have a great cruise. Bon Voyage! Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted January 31, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) It is a handicap cabin, we had one on our last Fascination cruise, we booked up just two weeks before the cruise and balconies were sold out and only had a very small handful of cabins to choose from, it was either on the bottom of the ship of that cabin which was handicap and was told since the cabin was still available it was ok as we didn't need a handicap room....needless to say, we NEVER get another one of those rooms again, the shower has no elevation the water goes everywhere in the bathroom, we had to take a bunch of towels to keep the floor dry. Then you get all the handles the chair in the shower which takes up room, no way ever again unless one of us needs a wheelchair...the room wasn't any larger either just a wider door. Also you will hear the music from the lobby, we didn't mind because we go to sleep in the wee hours in the am when its quiet. Luluwa Posted February 5, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Noise Not bad and the convenience to atrium and areas is great! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Ruggled Posted February 5, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Not bad at all. We had this cabin last July on the Fantasy. The Atrium lobby doesn't stay "up" as late as other areas on the ship--but there will be an entertainer out there in the evenings. Plus the bar doesn't open early. And, at least on the Fantasy, when it was time to get off the ship the line passed right by our door to step out and off which was very convenient. I was nervous about the location as well but didn't find it bad at all!
tkportersat Posted February 5, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 5, 2015 I have been in E72 on the Ecstasy before, loved the location. Never heard any noise. There are doors at the end of the hall to block noise from the atrium and the definitely did the trick.
