shipty2 Posted February 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2015 If a single person is booked and pays the normal single rate(which is double except for the tax) and another is added later do they get the original rate even if it has increased in the meantime? bury me at sea Posted February 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2015 That's an interesting question and I look forward to the answer. I often book this way on-board through Early Saver because I haven't yet decided which family member I want to invite. So far there has been no price change up or down at the time I added the second passenger.
BabyJacks17 Posted February 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2015 If a single person is booked and pays the normal single rate(which is double except for the tax) and another is added later do they get the original rate even if it has increased in the meantime? I've done this quite a few times. The answer is the second guest would be secured at the rate you originally booked, the only thing that would need to get added is the taxes/port fees for the 2nd pax. The only thing I would advice is to not wait until the last minute to add the 2nd person on because if the ship is at capacity (which can happen even if you booked 1 person in a 2 person room) then they can deny you adding the 2nd person. This is probably a rarity, but chances of this happening are usually during Summer Time & Holiday sailings.
