Jade missed going to Palermo today

Does anyone know why Jade went North up the Sardinian coast last night instead of going south east to Palermo in Sicily and then went straight to Naples today (Monday the 2nd)? Should have been there tomorrow. AIS showing a sea day slow trip to Civitavecchia tomorrow to get there early on Wednesday. Has she got an azipod problem?

The Norwegian Jade and also the AIDAmar changed their routes

 

both went to Napoli instead of Palermo today

 

The Captain of AIDAmar explained that it was not possible to reach the pier without any risk cause of bad weather conditions

 

AIDA changed the route yesterday and informed the guests

 

I guess, its the same reason for the Jade

Jade was delayed into Palermo due to bad weather at New Year. The weather map on the TV last night looked grim over the Med..

Thanks for the info I know the Med can be nasty at times because we were on Jade last year in Force 8/9 from Livorno to Monaco. We will be on her again next month and did not want things to go wrong with her before we need her!
