Can towels go off the ship into port?

Feel free to take them off the ship. They often have carts on the port dock where you can turn in your wet towel and pick up a fresh one when you return to the ship.

They sure can, but make sure you bring them back regardless as to whether there is a bin to put them in. If you take one off the ship, you will held responsible for returning it.

There were 2 beach towels waiting for us in our room and we were encouraged to take them ashore with us. You can tell the NCL passengers on shore by the beach towels with the green stripes.

$25 for each one you lose though. Make sure it comes back.

Llol how do they even keep track? This is what I do all the time, sometimes I end the cruise with 5 in my room sometimes 0. I have never gotten a charge. Couldn't you say you returned your towel out by the pool deck and never grabbed a fresh one?

There was a beach towel for each of us, placed on the bed in our cabin.

After we used it, we left it on the bathroom floor. A fresh one was put again on our bed when the cabin steward serviced our room.
